For the second year in a row, ARUP was honored with a Best Companies to Work for Award for 2019. This recognition falls on the heels of a Top Workplaces 2019 honor that ARUP received last month.

Employee feedback via a third-party survey has earned ARUP all three awards. Eighty percent of employees must respond in order to qualify. ARUP was in a category for those companies whose workforce exceeds 2,500 employees.

ARUP Laboratories Announces Death of Co-Founder

Dr. John M. Matsen, III, one of the founders of ARUP Laboratories, Inc., passed away on November 9, 2019. He was 86 years old.

Dr. Matsen, a professor of pathology and microbiology, became the Director of Clinical Laboratories at the University of Utah (U of U) in 1974. He came to Utah from the University of Minnesota, where he served as the Director of Clinical Microbiology Laboratories.
