State laws enforce a variety of communicable, environmental, and occupational rules to reduce disease morbidity and mortality. In compliance with these regulations, ARUP Laboratories is required to report certain test results to public health departments.

Public health departments that require reporting are sent reports on a prescribed schedule, which include patient demographics and test information required by each state’s regulations. ARUP makes every effort to comply with the regulations defined by each state.
