Dietetics Services
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
- ARUP offers medical nutrition therapy services via Registered Dietitians (RDs). Our RDs are well-versed in a variety of medical conditions and health concerns. RDs work in-tandem with the ARUP Family Health Clinic Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to provide collaborative and comprehensive care. One-on-one appointments are available via scheduling with the clinic front desk or on MyChart.
Sports Nutrition
- Sports Nutrition consultations are available for individuals requiring support with any athletic, performance, or movement endeavors. Our sports dietitian can help support optimization of training, performance, and recovery via one-on-one appointments or group presentations per request.
Intuitive Eating Support
- Health and Wellness offers a biannual, 8-week virtual course to support the learning and application of mindful and intuitive eating. Information regarding class dates and details is communicated to the company in advance of the next session offered. This course supports individuals in building a balanced relationship between food and their bodies. This is accomplished via learning and growing the following skills:
- Learn to recognize, honor, and trust your body’s signals of hunger and fullness.
- Stop the restrict-and-binge food cycle.
- Feel in control of your food choices and let go of guilty feelings.
- Understand emotional eating and how to cope with it.
- Resist diet culture by accepting your body at all sizes.
- Choose what to eat from a place of self-care and nutrition, not of self-control and dieting.
- Exercise for health benefits and not as punishment or compensation for eating.
Eating Disorder Resources

Behaviors associated with eating disorders include the following: restrictive eating or avoidance of certain foods, binge eating, purging by vomiting or laxative misuse or compulsive exercise, or hyperfixation on identified "safe" or "clean" foods. These behaviors can display similar to addiction. Eating disorders can manifest as various types: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorders, avoidant restrictive food intake disorders, orthorexia, other specified feeding and eating disorders, or pica and rumination disorders.
- If you or someone in your community appears to be struggling with these challenges, we encourage you to connect with your PCP and request a referral to a dietitian and/or mental health therapist.
