Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 5 mL lt. blue (sodium citrate).  Please refer to the Hemostasis/Thrombosis Specimens section in the front of this User's Guide for specimen collection instructions.

Transport: 1 mL platelet-poor plasma, (lt. blue, sodium citrate), frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL)  Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.5 mL plasma, frozen.

Remarks: Separate plasma from cells and freeze ASAP.

Unacceptable Conditions: Serum.  Specimens collected in sodium fluoride, and heparin.

Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 1 hour; Frozen: 2 months

0.8-11.2 ng/mL
