Collect: Serum separator tube.
Specimen Preparation: Transfer 2 mL serum to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 1 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines.
Unacceptable Conditions: Urine or any specimen other than serum. Specimens that have been exposed to repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 5 weeks; Frozen: Indefinitely
