| Specimen Required: |
Collect: One 5 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA).
Storage/Transport Temperature: 1 mL whole blood, frozen. Submit specimen in an ARUP Amber Transport Tube.
Remarks: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Specimen must be well mixed and transferred to an ARUP Amber Transport Tube before freezing. Hematocrit must be performed and indicated on the test request form. Protect from light during collection, storage, and shipment.
Unacceptable Conditions: Nonfrozen or clotted specimens.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 3 hours; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 2 months
