Collect: One 4 mL SST. Also acceptable: 4 mL lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA) or green (sodium or lithium heparin).

(Min: 0.2 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. *ExistTransport> #ExistPedCollectTransport> Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.1 mL serum or plasma at 2-8°C. *ExistPedCollectTransport> #ExistRemarks> Remarks: Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP. Acute and convalescent specimens must be labeled as such; parallel testing is preferred and convalescent specimens must be received within 30 days from receipt of the acute specimens.
