(Min: 1 g) Also acceptable: Place 5 g stool in enteric transport media (Cary-Blair) (ARUP Supply #29799). Interpretive Data: A positive result is indicative of the presence of lactoferrin, a marker for fecal leukocytes.  A negative result does not exclude the presence of intestinal inflammation.
