Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 10 mL plain red.

Transport: TWO 1.5 mL aliquots of serum, frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL per aliquot)  Submit specimens in two ARUP Standard Transport Tubes.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: TWO 0.5 mL aliquots of serum, frozen.

Remarks: CRITICAL FROZEN.  Let stand for two hours, then separate serum from cells within one hour. Freeze immediately into two aliquots.  Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.

Unacceptable Conditions: Nonfrozen specimens. Specimens subjected to repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
