| Specimen Required: |
Collect: One 5 mL lt. blue (3.2% sodium citrate).
Transport: 1 mL platelet-poor plasma (lt. blue, 3.2% sodium citrate), frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.
Pediatric Collection/Transport: Collect one 1.8 mL lt. blue. Transport 1 mL platelet-poor plasma (lt. blue, sodium citrate), frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL)
Remarks: Separate plasma from cells ASAP and freeze for transport.
Unacceptable Conditions: Serum, clotted or hemolyzed specimens. Specimens ambient or refrigerated greater than four hours.
Stability: Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: 4 hours; Frozen: 1 week
