Specimen Required:  
Collect: Two 5 mL lt. blue (sodium citrate).  Refer to the Hemostasis/Thrombosis Specimens section in the front of this User's Guide for specimen collection instructions.

Transport: Two 2 mL aliquots of platelet-poor plasma, frozen.  (Min: 1 mL per aliquot) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: Two 1 mL aliquots of platelet-poor plasma, frozen.

Unacceptable Conditions: Ambient specimens.  Serum.  Specimens collected in nonsodium citrate plasma.

Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated 4 hours; Frozen: 2 weeks
