Specimen Required:  
Collect: 24-hour urine. Specimen must be refrigerated during collection. Also, one 4 mL PST or SST, collected within 24 hours of urine collection start or finish. (Min:0.2 mL)

Transport: 5 mL aliquot from a well-mixed 24-hour collection  (Min: 0.2 mL) and 1 mL plasma or serum. Both specimens should be transported at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.2 mL)  Submit both specimens in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. 

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.2 mL aliquot from a well-mixed 24-hour collection and 0.2 mL plasma or serum at 2-8°C.

Remarks: Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form.

Unacceptable Conditions: Random urine collections.

Stability: Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: 4 days; Frozen: 6 months

Female: 75-115 mL/min
