Antibody Identification, RBC (Prenatal Only) : 0013005

Methodology: Hemagglutination
Performed: Mon-Fri (On call 24 hours for emergencies)
Reported: 2-5 days
Specimen Required: Collect:  10 mL plain red and 7 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA).

Transport:  10 mL whole blood (plain red) and 5 mL whole blood (EDTA) at 2-8°C. (Min: 7 mL plain red and 3 mL lavender) Also acceptable: plasma, serum, clot, EDTA, and ACD.

Remarks:  Do not freeze. 

Unacceptable Conditions:  Separator tubes.

Stability:  Ambient: 3 days; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: Unacceptable
Note: This test is for prenatal patients only.  Includes: ABO/Rh Type, Rh Phenotype, Direct Coombs, RBC Antibody Identification by various methods.

Titers will be performed, at an additional charge, on prenatal specimens for clinically significant antibodies.
