Guidance for High-Consequence Infectious Diseases

Due to the current outbreaks of high-consequence infectious diseases (HCIDs), such as Ebola Bundibugyo virus and Andes hantavirus, we want to remind you of the CDC's policies regarding diagnostic testing.

To minimize exposure risks and facilitate efficient diagnostic testing, please work with your local health department for assistance. Do not send specimens from patients with suspected HCIDs to ARUP for ancillary testing.

ARUP does not offer diagnostic testing for Ebola virus or hantavirus.
