Group Exercise Waivers

Before engaging in your first online or in-person fitness class with ARUP, you need to sign a waiver. You can either sign a printed copy of the waiver and bring it to your first class, or you can download, sign, and email it to wellness@aruplab.com.

If you are actively taking fitness classes and have not yet completed a waiver, you must turn in a waiver before your next session. Dependents 12–17 years old must sign the waiver for their age group and be accompanied by an adult to take fitness classes.

Wellness Center Amenities

ARUP’s Kjeldsberg Wellness Center, located at 560 Komas Drive, includes men’s and women’s showers (three each, located in the restrooms), as well as separate day lockers and cubbies. Exercise equipment includes cardiorespiratory fitness machines, strength training machines, free weights, and an open space with cushioned floors.

Corrective Exercise

ARUP’s Corrective Exercise Program designs individualized exercise plans to address and reduce chronic pain or dysfunction in joints and muscles. The program begins with an assessment by a wellness coach and continues for up to 16 weeks with follow-up appointments to evaluate progress. Our goal is to help ARUP employees and their dependents achieve the strength and flexibility needed to eliminate physical challenges from past injuries and prevent future pain or injury. Contact the Wellness team to get started!

12-Week Fitness Programs

Access the sample 12-week fitness programs below to begin building muscle and improving strength. The "Muscle Up" program has gym-oriented workouts, and the "Commit to Fit" program has home-oriented workouts that focus on improving fitness with little or no equipment. Choose your preferred plan and start working toward progress.

15-Minute Workouts

We offer a variety of beginner and advanced 15-minute workouts—perfect for work breaks. Most of these workouts can be completed at the gym or at home.

Fitness Assessment

The fitness assessment takes about one hour and provides participants with a variety of objective, baseline fitness measures. The assessment includes resting measures (blood pressure, height, weight, body composition, and circumferences), cardiorespiratory fitness testing, muscular fitness testing, and a flexibility measure. Start with a fitness assessment to improve your health and fitness and track your progress.

Exercise Prescription

ARUP Wellness offers prescription exercise appointments, which take about one hour and include a one-on-one consultation to develop an individualized plan to address specific health and fitness goals, hands-on exercise technique instruction, and progressive exercise programs for participants to follow. We encourage follow-up appointments to reinforce proper form and progression.

Ergonomic Exercises and Stretches

Below are resources for those experiencing pain or dysfunction due to the repetitive nature of their work. These exercises and stretches are offered in both PDF and video format and can be completed on the job or at home.

If you’re interested in any of the offerings described above, contact the Wellness Center to schedule an appointment.
