Courier/Client (Optional) Training

(This course is NOT needed if you take the Security Requirements Course on the previous page. That course replaces this one.)
U.S. DOT PHMSA Hazardous Materials Security Requirements Module

This training was produced by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). It identifies potential targets, threats, and resources for hazardous materials. This link will take you to their website where you can register and take their interactive training program modules. The last module, "8.0 Security Requirements" is the one you could take if you don't want to take our Security Requirements Course on the previous site page.
In order to go through this training, you must complete seven (7) steps:

1. Click here to visit their website or click here to see a short demo of getting to and launching the correct module.
2. Read through the description of their training modules.


3. Click the link on that web page to go to their training modules "https://dothazmat.vividlms.com"


4. From that new page, you can login, or register as a new user by clicking Register Now under New Users. It looks like this:



5. When you have finished registering, you'll see your transcript with eleven modules assigned to you. You may take the introduction module 0.0 if you want to learn how to navigate the training modules. However, you can simply jump to the last module “8.0 Security Requirements”. Click the Start button.


6. From there click the Launch button for the first lesson.


7. After completing the first lesson, Launch the EXAM. If you want to use this course instead of the shorter one on the previous page, you must pass the exam.
