Add specimen bag numbers to orders for tracking

Add ARUP specimen bag numbers to orders for easy shipment tracking in Order Status and Results. To add specimen bag numbers to orders you have entered, select the Packing List tab.

1. Select the checkbox next to the patient ID for the order you want to add a specimen bag number.
   

   The same bag number can be added to multiple orders as long as they are the same temperature. You can select the top checkbox to select all orders displaying in your list.
   

2. Select Add/Edit Bag .

3. Scan or enter the bag number and press Enter or select Update .
   

   The bag number displays in the Bag Number column for that order.

Edit bag numbers

1. Select the checkbox next to the patient ID for the bag number you want to edit.
   

2. Select Add/Edit Bag .

3. Edit the bag number and press Enter or select Update .
   

Remove bag numbers

1. Select the checkbox next to the patient ID for the bag number you want to remove.
   

2. Select Add/Edit Bag .

3. Remove the bag number by using the Backspace or Delete key. Press Enter or select Update .
