The supplemental anti-HCV Recombinant Immunoblot Assay (RIBA) is recommended for specimens with low positive anti-HCV screening results. For high positive anti-HCV screening results, ARUP recommends collecting a new specimen and testing for Hepatitis C RNA by PCR or bDNA.
