| Specimen Required: |
Collect: 2 biopsies of approximately 5 mg of small bowel should be collected by endoscopy.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Tissue should be placed on the wall of a small, tightly-capped plastic tube without any supporting media. Recommend the
use of a 1 mL flat-bottom microtube. Freeze within 2 hours of collection. Keep frozen for shipping on dry ice.
Unacceptable Conditions: Ambient or refrigerated specimens; specimens placed on gauze, filter paper, or any other type of support media. Tissue preserved in formalin.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen (-70°C): 6 months
