Specimen Required: Collect:  5 mL plain red. Separate and freeze within 2 hours.

Storage/Transport Temperature:  2 mL serum, frozen on dry ice. (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Remarks:  CRITICAL FROZEN.  Separate specimen must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Allow to clot at room temperature for 20 to 60 minutes.  Must be separated from clot and frozen at -70 ° C or on dry ice within 2 hours of draw.

Unacceptable Conditions:  Serum separator tubes.
