| Specimen Required: |
Collect: One 5 mL plain red or serum separator tube. Also acceptable: Lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA) or white (PPT).
Specimen Preparation: Plasma is also acceptable. Frozen specimens also acceptable. Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: 1 mL serum at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.1 mL)
Unacceptable Conditions: Grossly hemolyzed and lipemic samples.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 month
