| Specimen Required: |
Collect: Body fluid. Indicate source on requisition.
Storage/Transport Temperature: 0.3 mL CSF, peritoneal fluid, or pleural fluid, frozen. (Min: 0.1 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.
Remarks: Centrifuge specimen at 20-25°C. Collect the specimen supernatant and freeze at -20°C. Specimen must remain frozen until received in lab.
Unacceptable Conditions: Turbid specimens. Whole Blood.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 3 days; Frozen: 6 months
