Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.25 mL serum at 2-8°C.

Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines.

Remarks: Separate serum from cells ASAP. Plasma is acceptable. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Unacceptable Conditions: Severely hemolytic, lipemic, or cadaveric specimens.

Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 2 months; Frozen: Indefinitely
