Collect: Plain red or serum separator tube (SST).

Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Also acceptable: Room temperature or frozen.

Unacceptable Conditions: Adult specimens or specimens collected from children older than 12 months of age.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 month
