Remarks: If applicable, indicate NEWBORN prominently on the test request form.

Unacceptable Conditions: Specimens exposed to repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 1 month; Frozen: 3 years

Interpretive Data: For medical purposes only; not valid for forensic use.

Positive cutoff 40 mg/dL, screen and confirmation. 
Note: If screen is positive, then confirmation by gas chromatography/flame ionization detection will be added. Additional charges apply.
