Pediatric Collection/Transport:  Newborn minimum requires 1 mL for the initial test and 2 mL for the confirmation of each positive. Indicate NEWBORN prominently on the test request form. 

Unacceptable Conditions:  Specimens exposed to repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
