Specimen Required: Collect: Plain red, gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate), green (sodium heparin), lavender (EDTA), or pink (K2 EDTA).

Specimen Preparation: Separate serum or plasma from cells within two hours of collection. Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.7 mL)

Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Also acceptable: Room temperature or frozen.

Unacceptable Conditions: Separator tubes.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 2 weeks; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 2 weeks
