Specimen Required:  
Collect: Bowel tissue.

Transport: 5 mg bowel tissue, frozen. Tissue should be placed on the wall of a small, tightly capped, plastic tube without any supporting media. Collect and freeze ASAP. Collect 1-2 biopsies. Two samples preferred.

Unacceptable Conditions: Ambient and refrigerated samples. Tissue placed on gauze or filter paper.

Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated; Unacceptable; Frozen: at -70°C -  Indefinitely
