| Specimen Required: |
Collect: From the back of the head gather a lock of hair the width of a pencil. Cut hair near scalp, cutting at least 3 inches. Do not apply tape to hair.
Transport: 0.5 g of hair. Typically this is the length of an index finger (3 inches) and the width of a pencil. Submit hair in a plastic, metal-free container at 20-25°C.
Remarks: Please indicate if specimen is head or pubic hair.
Stability: If the specimen is collected and stored in the appropriate container, the trace element values do not change with time.
