Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 5 mL plain red. (Min: 3 mL) Also acceptable: lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA), green (sodium heparin), gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate).

Transport: 1 mL serum or plasma at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.8 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.8 mL serum or plasma at 2-8°C.

Remarks: Avoid use of separator tubes and gels.

Unacceptable Conditions: Citrated plasma.

Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 5 days; Refrigerated: 5 days; Frozen: 2 months

10.0-32.0 ng/mL
Toxic: > 35.0 ng/mL

Note:
This test will not measure digoxin (Lanoxin, Digitek); for digoxin testing, order Digoxin (0090080).
