Collect: One 5 mL lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA), or serum separator tube. Also acceptable: random urine. Specimen source is required.
Transport: 1 mL whole blood, serum, plasma, or urine at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.5 mL).
Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines.
Pediatric Collection/Transport: 1 mL whole blood, or 0.25 mL serum, plasma, or urine at 2-8°C.
Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines.
Remarks: CRITICAL STERILE. Do not freeze whole blood specimens.
Unacceptable Conditions: Heparinized or clotted specimens.
