Specimen Required: Collect: One 3 mL red or serum separator tube.

Storage/Transport Temperature: 1 mL serum at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Remarks: Remove serum from cells ASAP. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Unacceptable Conditions: Plasma. Icteric, lipemic, or hemolyzed specimens.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 2 months

Interpretive Data: This assay is performed using the Fujirebio Diagnostics CYFRA 21-1 Enzyme Immunoassay. Results obtained with different assay methods or kits cannot be used interchangeably.
