Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 4 mL SST or plain red.

Transport: 1 mL serum, frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL)  Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Remarks: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate serum from cells ASAP and freeze.

Unacceptable Conditions: Plasma. Icteric or lipemic specimens.

Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 1 month

Reference Interval:
0-50 ng/mL

Interpretive Data:
This assay is performed using the ALPCO Diagnostics Chromogranin A EIA. Results obtained with different assay methods or kits cannot be used interchangeably.
