Specimen Required:  
Collect: 3 mL amniotic fluid.

Transport: 3 mL amniotic fluid at 2-8°C. (Min: 2 mL) 

Remarks: Protect from light during collection, storage, and shipment.

Stability: If specimen is protected from light: Ambient: 2 days; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 1 year

Reference Interval:
Normal:  0.02 OD or less; depends on gestational age.
