Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 5 mL plain red.  Also acceptable: green (sodium heparin, lithium heparin) or gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate).  Draw between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Transport: 3 mL serum or plasma, frozen. (Min: 1 mL)  Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Unacceptable Conditions: Separator tubes.

Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 year
