Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 3 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA). Specimens must be collected in a pre-chilled tube. Collect on ice.

Transport: 1 mL plasma, frozen. (Min: 0.2 mL) Centrifuge at 2-8°C and separate upper two-thirds of plasma within 20 minutes.  Transfer to a plastic transport tube and freeze immediately.  Submit specimen in and ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.15 mL plasma, frozen.

Remarks: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.

Unacceptable Conditions: Nonfrozen or hemolyzed specimens.

Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 1 hour; Refrigerated: 1 hour; Frozen: 2 weeks
