Collect: One 5 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA). (Min: 3 mL) Collection tube must be siliconized glass or plastic.
Transport: 1 mL plasma, frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.5 mL plasma, frozen. Remarks: CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Separate plasma from cells and freeze ASAP. Unacceptable Conditions: Serum. Heparinized plasma. Nonfrozen specimens. Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 2 hours; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 3 months |
