Collect: Actively growing isolated organism, in pure culture, on agar slant or in bacterial transport media. Indicate isolate identification and specimen source.
Transport: Organism in pure culture sealed container at 20-25°C. Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines. Pediatric Collection/Transport: Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines. Unacceptable Conditions: Mixed cultures or nonviable organisms. Stability: Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 2 days; Frozen: Unacceptable |

Selective reporting by organism and source. An additional handling fee will be billed for all organisms submitted that are not in pure culture as indicated in the specimen requirements. |
