Transport: Rectal swab or stool in enteric transport media at 2-8°C. Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines. Pediatric Collection/Transport: Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines. Unacceptable Conditions: Nonsterile or leaking containers, multiple specimens (more than one in 24 hours), dry specimens, delayed transport without use of appropriate preservative.
