Collect: CSF or one 5 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA). Spin blood sample, remove plasma and freeze before transporting. Specimen source is required.
Storage/Transport Temperature: 1 mL CSF or plasma in a sterile container, frozen. (Min: 0.5 mL)
Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines.
Unacceptable Conditions: Heparinized or hemolyzed specimens.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 3 days; Frozen: 3 months
