Transport: 1 mL bone marrow at 2-8°C. Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines. Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.5 mL bone marrow at 2-8°C. Less volume may decrease sensitivity of assay. Submit specimen according to Biological Substance, Category B, shipping guidelines. Unacceptable Conditions: Nonsterile or leaking containers. Heparinized or hemolyzed samples. Frozen bone marrow. Stability: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 3 days; Frozen: Unacceptable |
