Specimen Required: Collect: Serum separator tube.

Specimen Preparation: Transfer 0.5 mL serum to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.4 mL)

Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.

Unacceptable Conditions: Contaminated, heat-inactivated, or hemolyzed specimens.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 48 hours; Frozen: 6 months

Results of specific IgE concentrations for any of the component allergens (Dermatophagoides farinae, Cat epithelium and dander, Dog dander, Bermuda grass, Kentucky bluegrass, Alternaria alternata, Oak tree, Elm tree, Common ragweed, Russian thistle) will not be provided.
