Specimen Required: Collect: One 3 mL serum separator tube, plain red, or green (lithium heparin).

Storage/Transport Temperature: 1 mL serum or plasma, frozen. (Min: 0.3 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Remarks: CRITICAL FROZEN. Additional specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP.

Unacceptable Conditions: Heat-inactivated, refrigerated or contaminated specimens.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: 30 minutes; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 1 year
