Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 6 mL SST.

Transport: 2 mL serum, frozen.  (Min: 0.75 mL)  Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Remarks: Separate serum from cells ASAP.

Unacceptable Conditions: Contaminated, heat-inactivated, hemolyzed, and icteric specimens.

Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 5 days; Frozen: 1 year
