Specimen Required:  
Collect: 24-hour urine. Specimen must be refrigerated during collection. Random or other timed urine collections are also acceptable.

Transport: 1 mL aliquot from a well-mixed 24-hour, random or other timed collection at 2-8°C.  (Min: 0.5 mL) Submit specimen in an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

Remarks: Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube, and test request form.

Stability: Ambient: 4 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 3 months (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
