Collect: CSF.
Specimen Preparation: Centrifuge and separate to remove cellular material. Transfer 1 mL CSF to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.4 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Grossly bloody, contaminated, or hemolyzed specimens.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 8 days; Frozen: 1 year (if frozen within 24 hours) (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
