A result of "non-amplified" for the N-myc proto-oncogene suggests a favorable prognosis. An amplified result is considered a poor prognostic indicator and is associated with decreased disease-free survival and overall survival. Current literature suggests this gene is of prognostic value for the evaluation of neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma. Please refer to Statement A in the Compliance Statements section in the front of the Laboratory Test Directory. *ExistInterpData> |
