Specimen Required:  
Collect: Peripheral Blood: One 5 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA). 

Transport: Peripheral Blood: 5 mL whole blood and six unfixed smears. Transport at 20-25°C. Send Sunday-Thursday only.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 1 mL whole blood and six unfixed smears. Transport at 20-25°C. Send Sunday-Thursday only.

Remarks: Whole blood EDTA slides preferred. Samples must be received within 24 hours of collection. Testing must be performed within 48 hours of collection.

Stability: Ambient: 24 hours

Reference Interval:
0-15% - Lymphocytes having Sezary morphology within normal limits
16% or greater - Abnormal
