Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 5 mL lt. blue (sodium citrate).

Transport: 5 mL whole blood.  Transport at 20-25°C.  Send Sunday-Thursday only.

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 2 mL whole blood at 20-25°C.

Remarks: Samples must be received within 24 hours of collection; testing must be performed within 48 hours of collection. 

Unacceptable Conditions: EDTA and heparin samples.

Stability: Ambient: 24 hours
