Specimen Required:  
Collect: One 3 mL lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA). 

Transport: 3 mL whole blood at 2-8°C. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Pediatric Collection/Transport: 0.5 mL whole blood at 2-8°C. (Must contain at least 0.25 mL of sample.)

Unacceptable Conditions: Frozen, clotted, or hemolyzed samples.

Stability: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 24 hours except MPV - which is stable for only 8 hours; Frozen: Unacceptable
